Can you really love Baby No. 2?

Will I or will I not love Baby No. 2? That’s the question that haunts

It also haunts me too.

Who can forget that wonderful warm feeling that suddenly fills your heart with the ultra soud?

Or feel the punch of that first kick? And when the baby is put in your arms or on your stomach, you are bonded for life, a feeling you think can never be replicated with subsequent children.

And the first touch of soft sticky baby when kept on your stomach for the afterbirth?when the baby is put in your arms or on your stomach, you are bonded for life, a feeling you think can never be replicated with subsequent children.

Grannies too feel that loving a second child will require more space in their hearts which are already pumping overtime with age. The first grandchild is really special, a marker of yet another rite of passage but another one? Can I really love him as much as the first?  As people age, their patience wears thin and they are hardly likely to be enthusiastic as they were as parents or younger grandparents.

But love? – That’s endless and you can love Baby no 2, 3 and many more because there’s always room for more.
